NCSY Next Step: Israel Internships Policies

Initial Requirements

Acceptance to NCSY Next Step is contingent upon a successful phone interview and receipt of two (2) letters of recommendation, the personal statement and the Health Survey (questionnaire for the legal guardian). All applicants for Next Step will be interviewed by telephone in the months of November and December. The first round of acceptances will be communicated via email in the first two weeks of January.


Once you have been accepted to Next Step, you will have two weeks to make an acceptance deposit of $1,000. By making this deposit, you are reserving your spot on the Next Step program. If you do not make this deposit after two weeks, we reserve the right to waitlist your application.

When Next Step is filled to capacity and all participants are fully committed, we will notify everyone enrolled in that program that tuition payments are no longer refundable, even prior to June 1st. If you withdraw after program capacity notification, we will do our best to fill your seat with someone from the waiting list or another applicant.  If we are successful, then we will return whatever payments we are able to without taking a financial loss. 

Internship Process

In the application, you will be asked indicate your first and second choice internship focus area. The first step after you finish this application will be to complete your two recommendations, personal statement, health survey and phone interview to be accepted to the program.

In March 2017, we will notify you of the internships that are secured and available for you to apply for. Some companies that we are working with will additionally require to see a resume and possibly a phone interview as well. We will work with you in the spring to secure your internship, and will make sure you are satisfied with the opportunity provided.

Additional Requirements

Additionally, participants must submit a medical form and a copy of their medical insurance card before tickets are issued. Please check your Forms Dashboard for additional forms that are required.
